Welcome to the Museum of Ancient Glass in Zadar, a unique cultural institution, not only in Croatia but worldwide. This archaeological museum specializes in glass with its unique collection of over 5000 different glass objects from antiquity, i.e. the period from the 1st century BC to the 5th century AD. More than 2000 full glass objects, divided into eight themes, are presented in the permanent exhibition. In addition to the permanent exhibition, a glass workshop is led by a young blower Marko Štefanac throughout the year. Replicas of ancient glass are made by the method of hand blowing in the workshop. The workshop of making glass jewelry on the burner and making souvenir by the fusion method is led by an extremely talented artist Antonia Gospić. Along with a modern and very rich gift shop where you can buy a number of publications and a variety of souvenirs made in museum workshops, the museum also includes two multi-purpose halls for temporary exhibitions, lectures, book presentations and screening of documentaries on the making of glass. We look forward to your visit!
